“Very efficient and responsive to our requests, Tony is extremely thorough in ensuring we meet all our notarial requirements (some of which we were not even aware of).”

COVID-19 UPDATE: Travel to and from the UK will be difficult for the foreseeable future. In order to meet client demand for an immediate response, I am providing a 24/7 service preparing urgent documents such as Powers of Attorney.

Thank you for visiting my website. I am Anthony Samuels, a notary public (aka notary and public notary) a public officer constituted by law to serve the public in non-contentious matters usually concerned with estates, deeds, powers-of-attorney, and foreign and international business.

I am one of the UK’s 800 notaries and I regularly come up against the issue of immediate availability. The solution is in the planning. Recently I was called to Heathrow Airport where I notarised documents for an American executive who was changing planes so not much room for manoeuvre there. But because the groundwork had been done earlier, the completion was straightforward. Prior to the meeting the client had scanned and sent all of the documents; I then prepared the notarial act and inspected the originals when I met the client and the job was complete. In the event of documents requiring further legalisation or apostilling, I could return the papers to the client that afternoon or evening.

I am available in person 24/7 to finalise a procedure when and where my clients need me and provided the groundwork is complete, the work can be finalised quickly. I am fluent in French and Spanish and conversant in Italian and Portuguese. My fees are very competitive for this important bespoke and niche service and despite the formality and professionalism required, my clients regularly point to the friendly and personable manner in which I approach the work.

Prior to qualifying as a notary public in 2010 I worked many years in the law, starting as a sports, property and entertainment solicitor at Nabarro LLP before setting up my own practices in Cockfosters, London, and Esher, Surrey, which I sold in 2006. Latterly I have worked as a non-Executive Chairman of Clydesdale Bank plc and I am a councillor and Chairman of Surrey County Council.

I am registered member of The Notaries Society the representative society for the Notaries Public practising in England and Wales.
